Believe it or not, hashtags are a massive way to grow your audience. Especially if you want to reach people outside of your current audience. PLUS you have the opportunity to rank really high for a hashtag without even knowing it!

If you're looking to grow your audience but you don't really know where to start when it comes to hashtags, here are some things to help you get on the right track:

Mix up your hashtags: The Instagram algorithm does not like it when you copy and paste the same hashtags in all of your posts. If you want more reach and visibility, use different hashtags!

Use hashtags with less than 100k uses: When you use hashtags that have over a million people (#love, #muslim, etc.), your content will constantly be buried and never show up to your audience.

Engage with people through the hashtags: A great way to find your ideal audience is imagining where they would be hanging out and engage with their content through these hashtags!

If you really don't know what hashtags to use, do your research and look at your competitors! See what hashtags they're using and then you'll have a better idea of where your audience hangs out.
