3 Tips to Make Selling in Dms Less Icky

Let's face it, making sales in the DMs can be scary especially when you first start out. You feel like a door-to-door salesperson except it's online where it can be more challenging to see how people react.

It took me a long time to be confident in being able to network and create sales in DMs and I wish I had these tips when I was first starting out that I'm going to be sharing with you:

1. Create a relationship FIRST: I repeat, you NEVER want to start out selling your offer right away. 9/10 times they won't buy from you and you'll be known as 'that person who tried to sell you something without getting to know you first'. Start out with a conversation about something you noticed about them (e.g. "I LOVE your content! How long have you been coaching for?" or "Your kids are soo cute! How old are they?")


2. Deliver some kind of value: If you feel like you haven't created a relationship strong enough to sell your higher ticket offer yet, offer them a freebie of something that would be useful for them. This way they'll feel special that you gave them something useful and in turn, if they did use it they're more likely to trust what you're offering!

3. Practice practice, practice: Set some time every day or every other day that you will be following people's accounts and networking. The more you do it the easier it will get (TRUST ME). You will quickly learn what works best and what does work.
